Marawi is a Muslim-majority city in Lanao del Sur in Bangsamoro, an autonomous region in Mindanao in the southern Philippines, a country whose population is predominantly Catholic. In 2017, over 1,100 people were killed in a five-month siege between Islamic State -affiliated insurgents and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Marawi.
Universiti Sains Malaysia (lit. 'University of Science Malaysia'; abbreviated as USM) is a public research university in Malaysia.Founded on 1 June 1969 as a statutory body with its own constitution, it is the oldest institute of higher learning in Northern Malaysia, as well as the second oldest in the country.
The university has its own radio station called 88.9 Development Radio (DXMU 88.9 MHz), which have been broadcasting since 2007. Its studios are located at the Research and Extension Complex inside the Campus, and its transmitter is located at Mount Musuan, Maramag, Bukidnon. [8] [9] [10]
