In the mid-1990s, it underwent extensive renovation and was reopened to coincide with a large housing boom in the area. On the corner of its property, there is a tree that is at least two centuries old. In 2017, the Methacton School District Board of Education voted to close Audubon Elementary effective July 1, 2017. Besides the various talent shows, concerts and events scattered across the school year, The Mount puts on one musical a year in the fall semester.
