Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock Community School District (RRMR) is a rural public school district headquartered in Rockford, Iowa. Rockford is a city in Floyd County, Iowa, United States, at the confluence of the Shell Rock and Winnebago rivers. The population was 758 at the time of the 2020 census . [ 3 ] Rockford's post office opened in 1855.
The school has a current enrolment of around 100 and is a participant in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program. [4] The Wesburn Recreation Reserve hosts junior football and netball teams. The township is also serviced by a pub and a number of small shops. Public transport is provided by bus route from Warburton to Chirnside Park.
Keith Country Day School was founded in 1916 by Charlotte Belle Emerson Keith. [1]Situated on a 15-acre (61,000 m 2) campus adjacent to Rockford's Sinnissippi Park and overlooking the Rock River, Keith School, as it is commonly referred to, is located at 1 Jacoby Place, on the site of the former Shoudy Mansion and carriage house.
[1] The school was built in 1871–72 for the landowner Rowland Egerton-Warburton of Arley Hall, and was designed by the Chester architect John Douglas. [2] It is constructed in brick with stone and terracotta dressings, and has a tiled roof. The building has three bays; from the left, the first two bays contain seven-light mullioned windows.
