Tonight Alive were an Australian rock band from Sydney. For the majority of the band's career, the line-up consisted of lead vocalist Jenna McDougall, guitarists Jake Hardy and Whakaio Taahi, bassist Cameron Adler, and drummer Matty Best.
McDougall explained that there is "a lot more cohesive [because] I know my voice a lot better. I'm excited because the songs have got a very pop structure but [they've] still got a lot of edge." [10] The title track was originally three verses longer but the band edited the track down. [11]

Underworld is the first album of the band's to be released on Australian independent label UNFD. It features contributions from Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor, as well as PVRIS vocalist Lynn Gunn.
Let It Land EP was released to accompany it; it shares the track "Let It Land", and also contains a new song and the three acoustic versions which were unable to fit on the album. Tonight Alive traveled to Los Angeles to record the album with producer Mark Trombino ( Blink-182 , Jimmy Eat World , Midtown ).
