In quantum information theory, quantum discord is a measure of nonclassical correlations between two subsystems of a quantum system. It includes correlations that are due to quantum physical effects but do not necessarily involve quantum entanglement .
The quantum mechanical counterpart of classical probability distributions are modeled with density matrices. Consider a quantum system that can be divided into two parts, A and B, such that independent measurements can be made on either part. The state space of the entire quantum system is then the tensor product of the spaces for the two parts.
Physicist Leslie E. Ballentine gave the textbook a positive review, declaring it a good introduction to quantum foundations and ongoing research therein. [9] John C. Baez also gave the book a positive assessment, calling it "clear-headed" and finding that it contained "a lot of gems that I hadn't seen", such as the Wigner–Araki–Yanase theorem. [10]

David G. Robertson discusses Discordian theology in the 2012 book Handbook of New Religions and Cultural Production, writing that despite Discordian claims that its 'catmas' are soft, optional beliefs, Nevertheless, the Principia Discordia contains a complex and subtle religious system, although this is often obscured by its chaotic structure.
The book has also been suggested as a complement to simplified introductory books in quantum mechanics. [ 3 ] Experimental physicist and 2022 Nobel laureate in Physics Alain Aspect , has frequently mentioned that the book was a revelation early in his career, helping him better understand the research papers of quantum mechanics and the work of ...
