Archie (also known as Archie Comics) is an ongoing comic book series (published from 1942 through 2020 in two volumes) featuring the Archie Comics character Archie Andrews. The character first appeared in Pep Comics #22 ( cover dated December 1941).

Edith loses her job at the Sunshine Home in 1979 (for violating company policy by allowing a terminally ill woman to die and failing to inform the staff), but in an early episode of Archie Bunker's Place, she finds a similar caretaker's job at a mental health facility. Edith is most known for her shrill voice (her trademark "Oh, Aaaaaaaaaaw-chie!"
