Monmouthshire Houses: A Study of Building Techniques and Smaller House-Plans in the Fifteenth to Seventeenth Centuries is a study of buildings within the county of Monmouthshire written by Sir Cyril Fox and Lord Raglan and published by the National Museum of Wales.
Sir Cyril Fox and Lord Raglan, in their three-volume study, Monmouthshire Houses, date the extensions, which make the house such a "showpiece", to 1678-9. [2] The rebuilding was undertaken by Issac Williams, [1] whom Sir Joseph Bradney, the Monmouthshire antiquarian, records as the first known owner of the house. [3]

Cefntilla Court, (also Cefn Tilla), Llandenny, Monmouthshire, Wales, is a country house dating from the mid-19th century.Its origins date from 1616. During the English Civil War, the court was the headquarters of Thomas Fairfax during the siege of Raglan Castle and the terms of the castle's surrender were signed at the house in 1646.
