Karnataka Sangeeta Nritya Academy is a performing arts organization in Bengaluru, India that is sponsored by the Department of Kannada and Culture in the Karnataka government. It was previously known as Karnataka Sangeetha Nataka Akademi. [1] [2] The academy promotes dance, drama and music within the culture of Karnataka.

Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (IAST: Saṅgīta Nāṭaka Akādamī Puraskāra), also known as the Akademi Puraskar, [1] is an award given by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, India's National Academy of Music, Dance & Drama.
Pandit Ganapati Bhat was Member of Karnataka Sangeet Nritya Academy, Karnataka Government, from 1995 to 1998. [citation needed] He was recognised as a research supervisor in music by the Kannada University, Hampi, in 2001.
