The Morganfield Commercial District is a 6 acres (2.4 ha) historic district in Morganfield, Kentucky which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. [1] It includes parts of Main, Court, and Morgan Streets. It included 30 contributing buildings. It is "a cohesive group of late 19th and early 20th Century commercial structures.

The Union County Courthouse in Morganfield, Kentucky was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 17, 1978. The current courthouse is the third one for Union County, and was opened in 1872. The Public Works Administration would later double the size on the courthouse. [2]

It is part of the Union County Public Schools district located in Union County, Kentucky. The school opened in 1964 following the consolidation of Morganfield, Sturgis and in 1967, Morganfield St. Vincent.
