In 2010, the United States Mint began issuing 56 quarter-dollar coins featuring designs depicting national parks and other national sites as part of the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters® Program. Each coin in the series features a common obverse with the 1932 portrait of George Washington and a one-year-only reverse design.
From 2010 through 2021, the U.S. Mint issued 56 quarters as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters Program. The reverse designs depicted a national park or other national site for each U.S. state, territory, and the District of Columbia.
