Cleaning Up Automotive Urethane. Didymus. 07-02-2007, 04:03 PM. I've started using 1-stage automotive urethane paint for body color, and love it. You can choose from thousands of colors and you get a very bright, hard, even finish. (Gotta wear a paint-type respirator, though, with plenty of ventilation. Breathing urethane will make you sick.)
935k3. 10-11-2010, 07:50 PM. I would not spray it on bare plastic. I would use a good light gray or white automotive primer like Plastikote T-235 White sandable primer. Also it is not glossy as it is made to spray inside of a clear body. It's not flat but it will need a clear coat. It's a hassle but is the only accurate paint for that car.

kinda funny story. getting off the freeway today i was behind a "98 WA 9591 Ultra Blue" blue camaro, then at the light it was 3 lanes. me the "98 WA 9591 Ultra Blue" camaro and a "23 WA 9537 Light Blue" camaro.
Good color match for Hertz Gold Stripes. I am starting the build of the Revel 1966 Mustang 350 H, and the 2006 Mustang GT-H, and do not want to use the decals that come with the Revel Models. Does any one know a good substitute for the Hertz Gold. I have looked at many car forums and there is great debate about the right color codes.
TS-56 is meant to represent Repsol orange which is definitely different than McLaren orange.MCW's paint code is the same for the two paints so one of them is incorrect.I see that Hiro Paint lists different stock numbers for the two colors so I'd lean more toward believing that the Hiro color is correct.
