DeKalb County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located in Maysville, DeKalb County, Missouri. It was designed by George R. Eckel of Eckel & Aldrich and built in 1939. It is a low red brick building with concrete bands and Moderne style details. It consists of a three-story main block with two-story flanking wings.

DeKalb County is a county located in the northwest portion of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the population was 11,029. [1] Its county seat is Maysville. [2] The county was organized February 25, 1845 [3] and named for General Johann de Kalb, [4] Baron de Kalb, of the Revolutionary War.
The Courthouse sits in the center of a square facing Illinois Route 64, directly across the north/south street, Main, from the Sycamore Public Library. It is a stunning example of Classical Revival architecture. The current structure was erected in 1905 being the third in a line of courthouses to serve DeKalb County. [7]
DeKalb County lies on the east side of Indiana; its east border abuts the western border of Ohio. Its low, rolling terrain is entirely devoted to agriculture or urban development. [ 12 ] Its highest point (1,060 feet/320 meters ASL) is a small rise in the NW portion of the county, 2 miles (3.2 km) west of Fairfield Center . [ 13 ]
