Little Grand Rapids is a community in east central Manitoba, Canada, near the Ontario border. It is located approximately 280 kilometers or 173 miles north-northeast from Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is a fly-in community, with only a winter road. Planes fly into Little Grand Rapids Airport.

Red Deer Lake [1] is a lake located in the west-central region of the Canadian province of Manitoba.The lake's primary inflow and outflow is the Red Deer River.It is situated approximately 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) north of Barrows and 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) west of Dawson Bay, which is part of the larger Lake Winnipegosis.
Poplar River lies near the Asatiwisipe River. It is a protected river with pristine forests and many undeveloped lakes and creeks along it. This watershed is the traditional land use area for Poplar River First Nation. The Ojibwe still use the land and waters for hunting, fishing, and gathering wild foods and medicines.
PTH 34 first appeared on the 1955 Manitoba Highway Map. [4] When it was first added, the highway was a much shorter route between Gladstone and Holland, with the southern terminus located at PTH 2 . The highway's southern terminus was extended to PTH 23 in 1957, [ 5 ] and then to PTH 3 the following year.
Provincial Trunk Highway 39 (PTH 39) is a provincial highway in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It runs from PTH 6 (to Thompson) to PTH 10 (to Flin Flon). The highway serves as the main east-west crossing of Grass River Provincial Park and Division No. 21, as well as providing road access to Snow Lake. The speed limit is 100 km/h (62 mph).
A portage between the eastern end of South Moose Lake and the source of the Minago River was used by fur traders to travel between the Saskatchewan and Nelson Rivers.Most if not all of the semi-nomadic Cree who originally frequented the area around Moose Lake died in a smallpox epidemic during the winter of 1781–1782.
