The Three Rivers Classic is a two-day Division I college ice hockey tournament which is held annually at PPG Paints Arena, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.The inaugural tournament took place on December 28–29, 2012 and featured teams from Miami University, Ohio State University, Pennsylvania State University and Robert Morris University.
The Maryland Black Bears are a Tier II junior ice hockey team in the North American Hockey League's East Division. The Black Bears play their home games in the Piney Orchard Ice Arena in Odenton, Maryland. Founded in 2018, the Black Bears are the first team in the 42-year history of the NAHL to be based out of Maryland. [1] [4]
The arena also serves as the Rochester Americans official practice facility, and the USA Paralympic Sled Hockey Team chose it as their official training site in 2010. In 2008, 87 events were held at the facility, drawing nearly 33,000 players and spectators. [ 3 ]
