The WCW World Television Championship was a professional wrestling world television championship owned by the now-defunct World Championship Wrestling (WCW) promotion. The title was introduced on February 27, 1974, in Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling (MACW), a territory of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA).
On the September 29 edition of UWN Primetime Live, Trevor Murdoch defeated the NWA National Champion Aron Stevens to win the title, marking the first title change at a UWN Primetime Live event. A champion who successfully defends the championship seven consecutive times will be eligible to trade in the championship for a match for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. [13] On March 21, 2021 at Back For The Attack, the NWA extended the time limit for World Television title matches on pay-per-views to ten minutes.

In the junior heavyweight division, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship is the primary title.
