George Gascón (born March 12, 1954) is an American attorney and former police officer who served as the District Attorney of Los Angeles County from December 7, 2020 to December 3, 2024. A member of the Democratic Party and a former member of the Republican Party , [ 1 ] Gascón served as the district attorney of San Francisco from 2011 to 2019.
