Smiley’s People is a 1982 British six-part spy drama by the BBC.Directed by Simon Langton and produced by Jonathan Powell, it is the television adaptation of the 1979 spy novel Smiley's People by John le Carré, and a sequel to Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (missing out the second book in the trilogy, The Honourable Schoolboy, which was not filmed for cost reasons).

Fame is an American musical drama television series which premiered on NBC on January 7, 1982. The series is based on the 1980 film of the same name. In 1983, the series entered syndication, for which it remained until its conclusion in 1987. Six seasons and 136 episodes have been aired. The series is available on DVD.
The characters of Dr. Jim Waynewrite and Ben the handyman were dropped when Marshall and Guntzelman's second pilot was made, which went to series. In the second pilot, Joey adopted a black dog that he named Archie after his grandfather, which O'Connor was said to be less than thrilled about, according to the same 1982 TV Guide article. [2]
