Our Lady of the Valley is a large Catholic church and school located in the Canoga Park section of Los Angeles, California.Founded in 1921 when the area was sparsely populated, and most of the 620 parishioners were involved in agriculture with livestock or walnut and orange groves.
During the 1920s, Father Brady led the effort to construct a new church to house the parish. Plans for the new church were approved in March 1926, and the cost was estimated at approximately $225,000. [1] The new church was dedicated in November 1927 with Bishop John Joseph Cantwell celebrating the dedication Mass. [2]
