I guess I'm just not understanding why you claim this. We're not talking about a job title here; we're talking about a common noun. "Presidency" is a common noun, only capitalized at the beginning of a sentence or section header. "Vice presidency," too, is a common noun, only capitalized at the beginning of a sentence or section header.
