Squidward J. Q. Tentacles [4] (/ ˈ s k w ɪ d. w ər d /, [5] / ˈ s k w ɛ d. w ər d /) is a fictional character voiced by actor Rodger Bumpass in the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants, produced by Nickelodeon. Squidward was created and designed by marine biologist and animator Stephen Hillenburg.
"Yellow Pavement": Mrs. Puff narrates a Red Asphalt-styled film in which SpongeBob and Squidward are used to demonstrate good and bad "boat smarts". However, a demon who manages the phone from inside of it continuously makes mind controlling calls to him that force him to give away free things, such as Krabby Patties and his own money. The demon swaps places with Krabs, who gets used to managing the phone. However, Squidward tosses the phone in the dumpster.
Squidward Tentacles gets a call from his wealthy former high school classmate and rival, Squilliam Fancyson, who has succeeded in everything in which Squidward has failed, including music. Squilliam has become the leader of a band scheduled to play at a venue called the Bubble Bowl but tells Squidward he will be busy at that time and cannot attend.
