Stewartville is a city in Olmsted County, Minnesota, United States. Stewartville sits just south of the Rochester International Airport , which is about 10 miles south of the city of Rochester . The population was 6,687 at the 2020 census , [ 4 ] and was estimated to have grown to a population of 6,906 as of 2023.
The paper's name was changed to the Carroll Herald in March 1871. James Rhodes purchased the paper on May 1, 1929 and the paper transitioned to a daily a few months later. In 1936, the paper purchased the weekly Carroll Times and merged it with the Carroll Herald to form the Carroll Times Herald. [6] Rhodes died in January 1944.

U.S. 63 enters the state in Fillmore County, just north of Chester, Iowa. It travels north to Spring Valley where it becomes concurrent with State Highway 16, following it west for five miles entering Mower County. Carroll County was formed on January 15, 1851, from sections of Pottawattamie County. It was named after Charles Carroll [3] of Carrollton, Maryland, the only Roman Catholic and longest-living signer of the Declaration of Independence.
