Lafayette Township is a township located in the Skylands Region of Sussex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 2,358, [8] a decrease of 180 (−7.1%) from the 2010 census count of 2,538, [17] [18] which in turn reflected an increase of 238 (+10.3%) from the 2,300 counted in the 2000 census.
