Kenshin attempts to fight Chō without a sword, but he is soon overpowered. Seeing Kenshin willing to die to protect his son, Seikū runs into the shrine and gets his father's sword and tosses it to Kenshin. Chō threatens to kill Seikū's son and Kenshin strikes him with a killing blow from the sword.
