Christ Healing the Blind Man by A. Mironov.. The Blind Man of Bethsaida is the subject of one of the miracles of Jesus in the Gospels.It is found only in Mark 8:22–26. [1] [2] The exact location of Bethsaida in this pericope is subject to debate among scholars but is likely to have been Bethsaida Julias, on the north shore of Lake Galilee.
The throne is traditionally regarded as a representation of the four Evangelists but it represents another layer of meaning in these images. The throne is also a representation of Charlemagne. Its narration offers many parallels with the healing of the blind man of Bethsaida in Mark 8:22-26. Along with the mention of the naked fugitive in chapter 14 , it is one of the few events recorded only in the Gospel of Mark and none of the other canonical gospels.
