All public schools and many private schools in Bangladesh follow the curriculum of NCTB. Starting in 2010, every year free books are distributed to students between Grade-1 to Grade-10 to eliminate illiteracy. [6] These books comprise most of the curricula of the majority of Bangladeshi schools. There are two versions of the curriculum.
In Bangladesh, grades equal or above 33% (or one third) is considered as a passing grade. Since the education system of Bangladesh is completely controlled by the government up to higher secondary level (or grade 12), the grading system up to this point is more or less the same.
The Institute of Bankers was registered on the 6 February 1973 as an association under the Societies Registration Act, 1660 (Act No. XXI of 1660). [2] Before that some eminent bankers and other professionals decided, in a meeting held on 26 July 1972, to establish the institute as a professional body of banks and financial institutions in Bangladesh.

[12] According to Bangladeshi government polling, Islamic banking has an overall approval rating of 84% among the country's population. [12]
