In theoretical physics, a local reference frame (local frame) refers to a coordinate system or frame of reference that is only expected to function over a small region or a restricted region of space or spacetime. The term is most often used in the context of the application of local inertial frames to small regions of a gravitational field.
In many laboratories, it is the original place of record of data (no copying is carried out from other notes) as well as any observations or insights. For data recorded by other means (e.g., on a computer), the lab notebook will record that the data was obtained and the identification of the data set will be given in the notebook. [4]
The Physics Analysis Workstation (PAW) is an interactive, scriptable computer software tool for data analysis and graphical presentation in high-energy physics. The development of this software tool started at CERN in 1986, it was optimized for the processing of very large amounts of data.
Older (.OPJ), but not newer (.OPJU), Origin project files can be read by the open-source LabPlot or SciDAVis software. The files can also be read by QtiPlot but only with a paid "Pro" version. Finally the liborigin [1] library can also read .OPJ files such as by using the opj2dat script, which exports the data tables contained in the file.
EDF – European data format; FEF – File Exchange Format for Vital signs; GDF – General data formats for biomedical signals; GMS – Gesture And Motion Signal format; IROCK – intelliRock Sensor Data File Format; MFER – Medical waveform Format Encoding Rules; SAC – Seismic Analysis Code, earthquake seismology data format [28]
The Nuclear Instrumentation Module (NIM) standard defines mechanical and electrical specifications for electronics modules used in experimental particle and nuclear physics. The concept of modules in electronic systems offers enormous advantages in flexibility, interchange of instruments, reduced design effort, ease in updating and maintaining ...
Forms Data Format is defined in the PDF specification (since PDF 1.2). The Forms Data Format can be used when submitting form data to a server, receiving the response, and incorporating it into the interactive form. It can also be used to export form data to stand-alone files that can be imported back into the corresponding PDF interactive form.
The modern Applied Physics Laboratory is located in Laurel, Maryland, and spans 461 acres with more than 30 buildings on site. Additional auxiliary campuses exist in the surrounding areas. [ 21 ] The campus includes multiple cutting-edge innovation and collaboration spaces as well as state-of-the-art labs and test facilities.
