Select the app icons you wish to move. Now, I know you're not a fan of dragging them to the next page but that's what you'll have to do to get them to another page. Every now and then accidentally I end up move an icon and sometimes I even delete an app! I figured out how to prevent deleting of apps.

Moving icons was a train wreck in the early versions of iOS 13. Couldn't be done reliably. Eventually they figured out the screwup and a few months before it was sent out to pasture for the iOS 14 debut, iOS 13 got the functionality back. Now iOS 14 has the same problem.
Ah. I did not know that I could select and move more than one icon at a time. I just tried moving an entire page and that worked, so that solved my second problem since I can easily just move all of the icons on a page, thus ending up with an empty page. Thank you for the information. You ended up solving both of my issues.

Try GridLock... No need to create "blank" icons... Just move the icons where you want them... Mine still move sometimes but with GridLock you don't have to go the extra step of making "blank" icons. I have one iBlank icon on my first Homescreen because I want it clear for when I swipe down to display the LockInfo Shade...
