Since then, my dentist did a root canal 2 weeks ago....He was sure that if I got any pain it would settle by last weekend. At first after the anasthetic wore off I was in heaven - the tooth had no pain and I could finally eat on it! This went on for 4 days, then by the Friday I was getting a throbbing type pain deep in the gum.
This Dr is the first to be able to get me completely numb. Here’s the history - My 2nd molar had a large, old silver filling. The tooth cracked. Dentist placed a crown. Tooth remained temperature sensitive with a lingering pain. Had a root canal and temporary filling by endodontist 6 days ago.
Turns out that I had 2 inflamed root canals, and I was told that I had two options. 1- Get the teeth extracted ( NO WAY as I am only 43,and I cannot walk around with a big gap as these two teeth are next to eachother. 1 month ago I had 2 root canals done and ever since I've been miserable. It started with terrible pressure, pain, numbness and tingling in my jaw and face.
