Just a newbie homeowner here who recently did a kitchen & bath remodel. I went with Kohler sinks and faucets, and a Toto Toilet. For the bathroom I chose the Kohler Purist cross handle line (in brushed chrome from a high end kitchen/ bath store), and for the kitchen I got the Kohler Corolais (also brushed chrome, from Home Depot).

Local hardware stores don’t seem to have many Kohler replacement stems in stock at the moment, so I’m trying to gather as much information before resorting to shutting off the supply to take the stems out and measure them. I’m seeing similar vintage Kohler faucets online, but none with the smooth face on the handles.

After a recent bathroom remodel, our new Kohler Shower Faucet seems to have cold / hot reversed. When turning faucet on, the water is immediately hot, then gets cold once you turn further clockwise. Not a big deal, but we are selling the house and the buyers wanted that fixed. I thought I could flip the cartridge / mixer valve 180 degrees to ...

They have 30-year old Kohler faucets that work perfectly. (I had the valves in all 16 faucets in the house reconditioned about 10 years ago at a local faucet repair shop.) The escutcheon and handles look terrible. The handles are obsolete and also very dated - but the faucets work great. The bodies are brass and in excellent condition.

Our relatively new (14 months)Kohler Forte kitchen faucet sprayer hose started leaking and we worked with Kohler to obtain a replacement. Unfortunately I cannot seem to remove the old hose from the brass coupler under the sink and the instruction that came with the hose are for the coupler type shown on the left of the picture below and mine is ...

  9. Which way is the cold water handle supposed to turn?

    terrylove.com/forums/index.php?threads/which-way-is-the...

and installed the two handle faucets from Kohler. It is my feeling that the cold water valves are turning the wrong way. I called Kohler and they said that's how all their lever valves work. I pointed out that it's not a lever, but a cross-handle style. I expected to turn it on counter-clockwise and off clockwise.

  10. Kohler Memoirs bathroom sink valve replacement - how to remove...

    terrylove.com/forums/index.php?threads/kohler-memoirs...

How do I get the bonnets off these Kohler sink faucets? My goal is to replace the valve; oddly, the hot side handle on both sinks is really hard to turn (both installed ~8 yrs ago), but the cold is just fine. I removed the set screw from the handle and am able to pull it off. But can't get the bonnet off.

  11. Hot Water handle hard to turn - Love Plumbing & Remodel

    terrylove.com/forums/index.php?threads/hot-water-handle...

If that does not eliminate the tightness, call 1-800-4KOHLER and have then send a new handle assembly. The stem is a ceramic seal version, so they seldom become tight, although a swollen "O" ring seal might do it, (your statement that it seems to happen after running the hot water implies this may be the case, howerver), in which case call ...
