I currently play mostly fps games with a lot of aiming required (unreal tournament, quake champions). So I was wondering what are the best dpi settings for fps games. 800 dpi is the most common, then just adjust the in-game sensitivity to whatever you're comfortable with. Measure your inch (cm)/360 on the mouse pad.

Sens is sensitivity by the game engine/physic engine, which is usually less accurate then DPI which is mouse. Higher DPI and low sense is much more smooth and accurate, then low DPI and high sens. And thats Despite DPI times Sens is the same! A) 2 sens * 800 dpi = 1600 edpi. B) 0.2 sens * 8000 dpi = 1600 edpi.

  5. High VS Low DPI? : r/pcgaming - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/7trsfn/high_vs_low_dpi

The most important thing to know is that DPI is best set at multiples of native DPI. A great many optical and laser mice have a native DPI of 800, so you would want to use multiples of that EG: 800,1600,2400 and so on. This is because mice use interpolation past their native resolution, and non-multiples will introduce jitter and inaccuracy.

If it was a 3 monitor set up and I was using it for work then I guess I'd need higher. The only reason people would have issues with 800 on desktop is if you only use your wrist to move your mouse IMO. best sens xd, i use the same thing. 1600 dpi 30cm/360 in game and claw grip, currently using a viper wired.

  7. Is there any drawbacks to setting to high dpi? : r/MouseReview -...

    www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/11es9zw

Just adjust the DPI to a value that you can use comfortably and precise while browsing the web. If you can't just navigate precisely, then your DPI is way to high and you LITERALLY can't take any advantage of those extra "steps". If it feels extra slow, it might be to low. Internally, your mouse isn't performing "worse".

  8. you only get advantages of an 8k poling rate at higher dpi ... -...

    www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/lhokjr/you_only_get_advantages_of_an_8k...

If you move any slower than 2.5 inches per second at 400 DPI, the mouse is reporting a one pixel movement at exactly 1000 times per second. This means that at 400 DPI, you're not taking advantage of 8KHz all the time. Bump that up to 1600 DPI, and moving at the same 2.5 inches per second nets you a report rate of 4000 times per second.

  9. What dpi to use? Does it matter? : r/MouseReview - Reddit

The biggest jumps in reduce input latency are from like 400 to 800/1200/1600, the higher you go, the less effect it has. To switch from 3200 to 1600 will have no real impact for you, chose just what you like for normal desktop use. Btw i personaly found this whole dpi Switch thing a very overhyped topic, as it has no real measureable effect ingame.

  11. What DPI should I use? And does DPI play a big factor in PVP

    www.reddit.com/r/MinecraftPVP/comments/mi0mug/what_dpi_should_i_use_and_does...

When I used to play pot pvp I played at 1600 dpi And tbh I don't think doi is that important it's about the sensitivity and if you know your sensitivity you can be good. Focus on what works for you not what works for other people. 1. Reply. Award.
