Merton Urban District (1907–1913) and Merton and Morden Urban District (1913–1965) was an urban district in Surrey, England. It was formed in 1907 from the parish of Merton and was expanded in 1913 to take in Morden. The district was abolished in 1965 and its former area now forms part of the London Borough of Merton in Greater London.
The area is bounded by Merton High Street to the north, the River Wandle to the west, Christchurch Road to the east and Deen City Farm to the south. Despite the area being considered by many to be part of neighbouring Colliers Wood, most of Merton Abbey falls within Merton's "Lavender Fields" ward. The area is within the SW postcode area.
Merton Park is quite widely used as a name for the neighbourhood. Merton itself is a rarely used name, among residents and businesses in the borough at any rate, to describe any particular district of the borough, with popular preference turning to the new 19th-century "Park" and "Wood" estates designated by the railway stations as they all unusually here formed new parishes.
