I cannot download the latest version of McAfee Total Protection. McAfee support told me it was because I was running Windows 10 Home in Test Mode. I tried updating Windows 10, but from all indications, what I am running is the most current version. I was able to remove that watermark about test mode, but that did not resolve the problem.

My PC woke up from sleep on its own. When I signed in, there was a popup from McAfee. I discovered that it had just been installed at the precise time my PC was awakened. I uninstalled it but am having a lot of trouble getting rid of all the related files. I'm getting help for that on a separate post. But I am wondering how the heck this happened.
In reply to Patti Fisher's post on June 21, 2023. Hold down Windows+R > type control.exe > find Programs and Features > check this list to see if McAfee is still present on your computer. If you don't have this program, please share the popup you see.
