The Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain is an archdiocese of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople in the Eastern Orthodox Church. The incumbent archeparch is Nikitas Loulias . [ 2 ] Its jurisdiction covers those Orthodox Christians living in the United Kingdom , the Isle of Man , and the Channel Islands .
He arrived in London in April 1959 and was appointed to the Greek Orthodox Church of All Saints Cathedral, Camden Town. He was ordained presbyter by the late Archbishop of Thyateira, Athenagoras Kavada (Archbishop 1951–1963), on 26 April of the same year. In 1964 he was appointed Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Thyateira.

Methodios Fouyias (Greek: Μεθόδιος Φούγιας; 12 September 1924 in Corinth – 7 July 2006) served as Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain (concomitantly apokrisiarios of the Ecumenical Patriarch to the Archbishop of Canterbury) from 1979 to 1988.
He took early retirement in 1996 going on to study Theology, with a view to becoming a Greek Orthodox priest. [1] Fr Oeconomos Thomas Irenaeos Basil Carroll, was ordained a deacon and priest of the Orthodox church, the first Irish born person ordained. [ 2 ]
