Daniel Duchaine (1952 – January 12, 2000) was an American bodybuilder.Nicknamed the steroid guru, Duchaine gained worldwide notoriety due to his outspoken opinions on the use of performance-enhancing drugs, and made numerous television appearances discussing the subject on shows such as 20/20, Geraldo, and 60 Minutes. [1]
He became Mr. United Kingdom in 1968. [1] After finishing second in the medium-height class in the NABBA Amateur Universe in 1967, 1969 and 1971, Callender moved to Canada where he won Mr. Canada contest. [2] He retired from competitive bodybuilding afterwards and had a brief role in Dušan Makavejev's film Sweet Movie.
American Media purchased the Mr. Olympia event, as well as the Flex, Muscle & Fitness, and Muscle & Fitness Hers titles in 2003. In March 2018 it was announced that Flex magazine would merge with Muscle & Fitness to become one magazine. Flex also combined with the Muscle & Fitness website as well. The last print issue was published in May 2018.
