As the Autobots engage the Decepticons in battle, Starscream hits Jetfire, so Vector Prime decides to take on Megatron one on one. He fights him hoping to recover the map, but Megatron refuses. Hotshot transforms and shoots up at Starscream, but Starscream realizes they are being misled, informs Megatron, and the two Decepticons fly past.

Considers himself the most sophisticated and handsome of Decepticons. Believes Decepticons should rely more on guile and speed rather than brute force to defeat Autobots.
Meanwhile, Galvatron and Starscream enter the game looking for their minions, and make quick work of Snow Cat and Demolishor, then leave. But two other Decepticons, Bruticus and Constructicon Maximus, are also defeated by Optimus and Omega Supreme, who later take on Hot Shot and Rodimus, who just defeated Six Shot and Shockblast.
The Autobots and Decepticons attempt to attack him but Starscream proves to be immune to their attacks and subdues them before attempting to extract their sparks. However, Optimus uses the power of the Matrix of Leadership to blast the AllSpark out from Starscream, ending his threat but exhausting the Autobot leader.

The Decepticons attack the city, though Megatron is ambushed by Jazz, who disposed of the bombs Brawl planted earlier, and whom Megatron swiftly kills after a brief fight. In Tranquility, the Decepticons kill most of the Autobots, with Brawl taking down Ironhide, and Starscream eliminating Bumblebee.
Starscream annihilates them in retaliation and retreats, severely wounded. Prime laments their sacrifice, but had already begun to suspect that the Allspark was the reason Megatron went to Earth. Knowing that Starscream would seek Earth merely for revenge on the humans injuring him, Prime resolves to locate Earth before the Decepticons do.
