The Lakes. The Lakes is a 2-square-mile (5.2 km 2) planned community located within the city limits of Las Vegas, Nevada. It is located in the western part of the Las Vegas Valley near the Spring Mountains and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The centerpiece of the community, and its namesake, is a large man-made lake, Lake Sahara.
Reno is part of the Reno–Sparks metropolitan area, the second-most populous metropolitan area in Nevada after the Las Vegas Valley. [5] Known as Greater Reno, it includes Washoe, Storey , and Lyon Counties; the independent city and state capital Carson City ; and parts of Placer and Nevada Counties in California. [ 6 ]
The casino is the first to be built in the Reno-Sparks metropolitan area since 1995. [5] It will also have valet parking and both table games and slot machines. [6] The 80,000-square foot casino opened August 30, 2022, with 665 slot machines, 10 table games and a variety of dining options. Its sportsbook is run by local operator Circa Sports. [7]
