Dragon Tales is an animated educational fantasy children's television series created by Jim Coane and Ron Rodecker, developed by Coane, Wesley Eure, Jeffrey Scott, Cliff Ruby and Elana Lesser, and produced by the Children's Television Workshop (now known as Sesame Workshop), Columbia TriStar Television (now known as Sony Pictures Television) and Adelaide Productions.
Ron Rodecker (March 4, 1930 – January 25, 2021) was an American educator, artist, and creator of Dragon Tales, a PBS animated TV series about two children who visit a world populated by friendly dragons. [1]
The series serves as a bridge between the first film and its 2014 sequel. [1] A one-hour preview consisting of two episodes aired on August 7, 2012, [2] with the official premiere of the series on September 4, 2012. Dragon is the title character of the show, a friendly-naive dragon (a wingless dragon—resembling a dinosaur). Dragon giggles his way through life. No matter what happens, this jolly hero's glass is always half-full. Slightly awkward, with a giant toothy grin, Dragon is curious about everything and will follow his nose wherever it may lead him.
Claudia, Soren and the captive Corvus arrive at a town. Soren provokes a dragon into attacking the settlement, but Claudia's magic drives her off. Nearby, Ezran, Callum and Rayla watch the humans chaining up the wounded dragon. Rayla intervenes and, aided by Callum using dark magic, helps the dragon escape.
