Nissan Maxima vs. Toyota Camry. m183837 Member Posts: 1. July 2006 edited April 2014. I am trying to decide between the 2006-07 Nissan Maxima or the 2007 Toyota Camry XLE. The car I choose will be equiped with all the bells and whistles.
The Maxima has the better engine, handling, transmission, audio system, features, and performance. Refinement is at least on par with the Accord, too. Stop fooling yourself and forget the Accord. If you want a REAL debate, ask which is better: a 4-cyl Accord or the 4-cyl Altima! I had always been an import car buyer.
2015 Nissan Altima gas mileage. I just purchased a 2015 Altima SL. What I loved about the car was the mileage per gallon. It started out good. When I purchased the car when filled it would say I could go over 400 miles. Now when I fill the car it only says I can go 318 and it rapidly falls. My commute is 16 miles total to and from work.

Nissan Quest Low Ground Clearance. mrragu2u Member Posts: 2. November 2006 edited March 2014. I/we have a 2006 Nissan Quest. My wife wanted it, I wanted to get another Suburban. I am a little disappointed with the gas milage 21 in city and up to 24 or on the highway. Not what I expected from a 3.5L engine.
July 2008. I just got my first Nissan 300zx - it's an 85 non-turbo 5 speed with 157K miles. With the really bad front end components and less than great tires I averaged 29 mpg using 87 octane last week driving to and from work, which for me is all highway travel at 53 miles each way.
October 2008. We recently purchased a 2008 Nissan Rogue and noticed that the gas gauge is off. Even with a full tank of gas, the gauge will read the tank as below the full level. At times it will show the tank as 3/4 or 1/2. Other times it will show the tank at a full level when it shouldn't be, for example, 85 miles driven on a full tank of gas.
Several people have commented that they prefer cars without moonroofs. And my son also enjoys driving my Nissan Maxima which has tons of leg room (an '01 so I haven't tried the newest version). I was surprised that the LeSabre's gas mileage isn't that different from the Maxima -- and even better on the highway where he gets nearly 30 mpg.
Our mileage we are getting from the 2009 sentra is as follows: 40.16kms per imperial gallon = 25.23 mpg. That averages to 8.85kms/L or 486.75kms per tank. Nissan Canada website estimates 43.5mpg average (15.04kms/L or 847kms per tank/50/50city/hwy) As I mentioned my sister own a 2008 Sentra 2.0s with CVT.
