Varsity Netball is a netball league featuring teams representing universities in South Africa. It was formed in 2013 . UFS Kovsies were the inaugural winners and they remain the league's most successful team, having won five titles.
The 2024 Vitality Netball Nations Cup was an international netball series hosted and organised by England Netball. It featured England, Australia, New Zealand and Uganda in a series, played in January 2024. The series was played over two successive weekends.

The Varsity Cup tournament was founded in 2008, featuring the rugby teams of eight universities. Varsity Sports was created as an offshoot in 2012. In the first season rugby sevens and beach volleyball were played. In 2013, athletics, field hockey, association football and netball were added. [1] In 2016, mountain biking was added.
The 2024 Taini Jamison Trophy Series, also known as the 2024 Cadbury Netball Series, was the 14th Taini Jamison Trophy series. It featured New Zealand playing England in three netball test matches, played in September and October 2024. [1] [2] After winning the two opening tests, England eventually won the series 2–1.
In 2021, Netball South Africa held the first International Male Netball Tournament, a tri-nations tournament, which featured Uganda, and Kenya. South Africa won the tournament. [1] In 2023, they won the inaugural Men's African Netball Championship. [2] They defeated Zimbabwe 45-40 in the final to lift their maiden continental title. [3]
