Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦, rgh. "Sorcery Battle") [b] is a Japanese anime television series produced by MAPPA, based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami.The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host.
Yuji ingests the finger and becomes Sukuna's host. Jujutsu master and teacher at the Tokyo school Satoru Gojo tells Yuji that he is intended for execution, but it is delayed so that the world can be rid of Sukuna when Yuji eat all of Sukuna's fingers. Yuji moves into the school and is mentored in Jujutsu personally by Satoru.
Yuji, Megumi, and Gojo pick up the third and last first-year student Nobara Kugisaki. Gojo brings them to an abandoned building occupied by Curses as a field test for Nobara. Nobara discovers a Curse holding a little boy hostage, and surrenders but Yuji rescues her and she destroys the Curse.
