Silas Ali Agara (born January 1, 1973) is a Nigerian politician, sport enthusiast and the current deputy governor of Nasarawa State. [1] [2] He previously served as the Special Adviser on Sports to the Nasarawa State Governor, and was announced as the running mate to Umaru Tanko Al-Makura in 2015.
The APC primary election was held on September 28, 2018. [66] Abdullahi Sule won the primary election polling 926 votes against 10 other candidates. His closest rival was Aliyu Wadada, a house of representatives member in the state who came second with 519 votes, while Silas Ali Agara, the incumbent governor in the state came third with 352 votes.
