The Big Traverse Bay Historic District is a historic district located east of Lake Linden, Michigan at the mouth of the Traverse River. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1975. [1] [2]
The village of Linden subdivision was platted by Consider Warner and Eben Harris in 1840. Warner and Harris also built the Springer's Hotel hostelry that same year. The Joseph Bosch Building is a commercial structure located at 302 Calumet Avenue in the Lake Linden Historic District in Lake Linden, Michigan. It is also known as the Lindell Chocolate Shoppe. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1982. [1] [2]

In 1971, the water wheel was replaced with another wheel from an old mill. [3] The municipal offices moved out of the building during the 1960s, and in 1976, the Linden Mills Historical Society Museum opened in the building. [2] As of 2018, the library and the historical museum are still located in the old mill.
