Club de Fútbol Monterrey Rayados, A.C., simply known as Monterrey or by its nickname Rayados, is a Mexican professional football club based in the Monterrey metropolitan area, Nuevo León, that plays in Liga MX, the top division of Mexican football. Founded in 1945, it is the oldest active professional club from the northern part of Mexico.
The 2023–24 Liga MX season (known as the Liga BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons) was the 77th professional season of the top-flight football league in Mexico.The season was divided into two championships—the Apertura 2023 and the Clausura 2024—each in an identical format and each contested by the same eighteen teams.
Club Raya2 Expansión, known simply as Raya2, was a Mexican professional football club based in Monterrey, Nuevo León.Founded in 2021, it was the official reserve team of C.F. Monterrey and was part of the Liga de Expansión MX, the second professional football division of the Mexican football league system. [2]
He began playing for Liverpool de Montevideo, before joining Peñarol in 1967. He won consecutive Uruguayan league titles in 1967 and 1968, and helped the club reach the 1970 Copa Libertadores final in his first stint with the club. Gallardo began his career at 15 years old with Once Hermanos from 2009, [4] until making the switch to Jaguares de la 48 in 2011, [5] and ultimately getting the attention of first division team Club Universidad Nacional. From there, in 2013, [5] he joined Pumas UNAM youth academy, successfully going through the U-20 team and Pumas Morelos.
