Goregaon Road railway station is a halt station on the Konkan Railway. It is located 40.8 kilometres (25.4 mi) from the start of the line at Kolad . The preceding station on the line is Mangaon railway station , also a halt, and the next station is Veer railway station .
Goregaon Bus Depot, however, is located away from the railway station, on Link Road. The link road has seen an increase in the traffic of late after the commencement of the Mumbai Metro construction work. There is a new flyover at Ram Mandir road, connecting Goregaon West and Goregaon East. [2]
The Goregaon depot operates most of the bus routes on the western side of the station (some services are rarely supplied through Oshiwara Depot also) while Dindoshi depot operates most of the eastern side of the station (Bus Route 341 is an exception which is operated by Pratiksha Nagar Depot when it is transported through and from Antop Hill).
At Wadala Road, the Harbour line splits into two corridors, one going to Panvel and the other to Goregaon. The exact split occurs 800 metres north of Wadala Road station, at a location known as Ravli (variously spelled as Raoli, Ravali or Rawli) corresponding to the nearby Ravli slum. There is no railway station at Ravli Junction.

The railway was scheduled to have new crossing stations at Indapur, Goregaon Road, Sape Wamne, Kalambani Budruk, Kadavai, Veravali, Saundal, Kharepatan Road, Achirne, Mirjan and Innanje by December 2019. Most of these stations are operational now. [26]
