In the 2021 election, the SNP gained one seat and entered a power-sharing agreement with the Scottish Greens.
The Scottish and Welsh Election Studies 2021, revealed on 13 June, found that around a third of Scottish voters who decided to vote differently in the run-up to the election did so to stop another party, and that 90% of those who did this did so in a bid to prevent the SNP winning the seat.
