MGM Tower is a 38-story, $400 million boutique hotel connected to Borgata. It was originally named The Water Club. [ 18 ] Built in 2008, it features 800 guestrooms and suites; Immersion, a two-story spa on the 32nd floor, 18,000 square feet of meeting and event space, three residences, five pools (indoor and outdoor), and retail shops.

The base of the tower is home to the main casino floor, spa, pool, and the main retail and dining level. It also contains a 350-seat theater and clubs reserved for qualified casino players; formerly there was one club called "1133", but in 2013 it was remodeled and expanded into two separate players clubs named the "Epic" and "Paramount" clubs.
The East Tower opened in two phases, in October 1995 and February 1996. Revel was the third Atlantic City casino to close in 2014, after Showboat Hotel Casino closed on August 31, following the Atlantic Club Hotel Casino. The hotel was closed on September 1, 2014, at 11:00 am and the casino was closed the next day at 6:00 am.
In December 2010 MGM rented 200,000 sq ft (19,000 m 2) of space in the MGM Tower, and it paid nearly $5 per square foot per month in rent. [5] In 2010, as MGM emerged from bankruptcy protection, it announced that it would move its headquarters to neighboring Beverly Hills to save money. The lease in Century City was scheduled to expire in 2018.

The Waterfront Tower opened in 2008, along with a new pool and a spa, to better compete with the nearby Borgata, which opened in 2003. The hotel tower is Atlantic City's second tallest building, at 525 feet. [8] At night, the entire surface of the tower displays varying digital images.
