The School District of Palm Beach County ( SDPBC) is the tenth-largest public school district in the United States, [4] and the fifth largest school district in Florida. The district encompasses all of Palm Beach County. [5] For the beginning of the 2018–2019 academic year, enrollment totaled 192,533 students in Pre-K through 12th grades. [2]
The school was first established by William R. Laurie in 1965. Heritage opened its first campus in 1971 at 800 South Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 1973, the school opened a second campus at 1725 Monroe St. in Hollywood, Florida. In 1975, Laurie opened a third campus located at 12200 W. Broward Boulevard in Plantation, Florida.
It did. A new high school building — Palm Beach High School — opened there in 1915. A third building was added in 1922, and a fourth in 1927. In 1970 the school changed its name to Twin Lakes, which closed in June 1988. It briefly operated as Palm Beach Lakes High until that school's new campus opened in 1989.

Website. Official website. Suncoast Community High School (abbreviated SHS) is a public magnet high school (grades 9–12) in Riviera Beach, Florida. The school's campus was built in 1955 as Riviera Beach High School. It was desegregated in the 1960s and renamed in 1970. It became a magnet school in 1989 and has selective admissions.
