Old Elm Spring Colony, formerly called the Old Elmspring Hutterite Colony, is a Hutterite colony [5] and census-designated place (CDP) in Hutchinson County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 114 at the 2020 census. [6] It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

[1] Its county seat is Olivet. [2] The county was created in 1862 and organized in 1871; it was named for John Hutchinson, first territorial secretary.
The Milltown Hutterite Colony, located on the James River near Milltown, South Dakota, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It was then the Dilger Ranch or Dilger Farm. It was a Hutterite colony during 1886–1907. [1] [2] The 14 acres (5.7 ha) listing included eight contributing buildings and one other contributing site.
