Bristol is a town in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States, located just north of the city of Sun Prairie and 15 miles northeast of Madison. The population was 4,447 at the 2020 census. The unincorporated communities of Bakers Corners, East Bristol, and North Bristol are located in the town.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) plans to add roundabouts at two intersections along WIS 54 in Seymour. The roundabouts will be constructed at Main Street and Ivory Street. The highway through the city will also be reconfigured from a four-lane road to a three-lane road with a two-way left-turn lane.
The highway crosses WIS 80 within Necedah and crosses the Wisconsin River at about three miles (4.8 km) east of the village. WIS 21 enters Adams County at the river, just south of Petenwell Lake. [4] WIS 21 junctions with WIS 13 three miles (4.8 km) north of Friendship. The highway also provides indirect access to Roche-a-Cri State Park via WIS 13.
WIS 83 begins at the Wisconsin–Illinois state line, just north of Antioch, Illinois, at the northern terminus of Illinois Route 83 (IL 83). WIS 83 heads north through Salem through the Westosha region of Kenosha County as Antioch Road. On the western edge of Paddock Lake, WIS 83 turns left on 75th Street and runs concurrently with WIS 50.
