St. Andrew's won the schools' County Cricket Trophy in 1993. A single storey extension was started in May 1995 in the form of a new technology centre costing £177,000. It was ready for use in November of the same year. 1996 saw the retirement of Head teacher, Mr. Peter Stewart after 13 years.

St Cuthman's School was established at Wispers in 1956 or 1957, [7] when the Wispers estate was bought by West Sussex County Council who ran a mixed-sex boarding school there for children aged from 7 to 16 with special needs. [6]
In 2008, the school became a Trust school under the rules of the Education and Inspections Act 2006. [5] The school converted to academy status in December 2012. From 2015 it became a standard secondary school accepting its first cohort of Year 7 students since the 1973 reorganisation following the change in the age of transfer in Worthing. [6]
